Java Developer

A leading Insurance business is seeking to recruit a modern, forward-thinking and articulate Java Developer with good working knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot frameworks as well as Agile methodologies and ideally AWS Cloud environments to join an already impressive InsurTech team.

In the role you will be working in an Agile, Opensource environment, utilising emerging technologies and Machine Learning, with the most advanced tech on the market available to you. You’ll be expected to contribute significantly to the Technical Software Engineering team and make a real contribution in shaping the evolving business.

Key Requirements:

• Java Development experience in a commercial environment
• Working knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot Frameworks
• Excellent communication skills

Nice to have:

• Strong Academic background (preferably in Computer Science or related field) – 2:1 Degree or above from a Top University
• Exposure to AWS
• Previous experience with Ruby
• Experience of working in an Agile environment
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration Tools
• Interest in Machine Learning
• Previous Insurance / InsurTech / FinTech / Financial Services industry experience would be an advantage
• Immediate availability would be a plus
